But he plays guitar righthanded! Do you know more guitarists who are lefthanded and play right- or lefthanded? Second question: I once read, if I remember well, that lefthanded people should be more creative than righthanded. I can't remember which enquiry it was, but did you hear from this statement?

Posts: 377 (23/04/08 21:36:23) Moderator Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	Jimi Hendrix was left-handed, and like most lefties used right-handed guitars, naturally turned upside-down and re-strung for playing left-handed, so that the heavier strings were in their standard position at the top of the neck.This had an important effect on the sound of his guitar: because of the slant of the Strat's bridge pickup, his lowest string had a bright sound while his highest string had a mellow sound, the opposite of the Stratocaster's intended design (says Wikipedia ) Last Edited By: am012513 23/04/08 21:47:19. I was crap at it. I can relate to what Mark has said in the past. I think I drive my car better than most, because the Clutch is in my left foot (UK) and the gears are in my left hand, which is my stronger side. The world is prejudiced against us lefties, and we have to adapt. Even the mouse on your computer is right-handed. I use my Mouse in my left hand, but with right-sided buttons. Sometimes though, it is an advantage, and given that Mark plays his guitar in a right-handed style, but majors on his left handed strength on the fretboard, then I think this gives him an edge, and one that many right-peggers can't achieve. Life is what you make it.

So your in good company all you lefties. My ex was lefthanded and one of the smartest men I have ever met, tho not that creative.I think it works on the dominant right brain hemishere theory, that the creative side of the brain, the right side, is dominant in left handed people.My newphew is ambidextrous and can write with either hand.He played trumpet extremely well at a very young age and is a great drawer. The physically dominant side is for sure the stronger side of the body.So Mark.P. dont come to North America and clog up traffic! How the brain works or not, depending on how much wine one has had the night before, is truly amazing.I was suprised when I saw that video of What It Is and MK was writing with his left hand as I had only seen him play right handed.

I would like think that I am too a genius, but TK may beg to differ!!!!! I'll give you a call next time in North America, keep death off the roads!!! Seriously, there is a message here. McCartney is left handed, and plays left handed, and the "shape" of him with Lennon in the Beatles videos, with them either side is iconic. He has always played left-hnded though. Without this getting smuty, I wonder what else MK does right and left handed?? Does he eat Left/Right handed?/ Does he shake hands left handed? Does he open the wine at home left handed?? I do wonder whether he is truly ambidextrous, or just a right hander in a left body like me.

When I first picked up a pool cue, I automatically played left-handed, so in some former life I was a left-handed pool player I assume. In my youth I incurred a serious hand accident at a textile mill, and learned to write left-handed (not well, not fast, but legibly). I play violin, mandolin and guitar (again; was off it for years due to the injury) righthanded.My hat is off to anyone who can change their natural dexturous inclination successfully...and as we all know, MK has done so!

Not sure which hand he uses to open a can of beans, though. Are there can-openers for lefties? LOL! My ex boyfriend is left handed but he plays guitar right handed. He taught me some guitar stuff and I always envied him for having so much strength in his left hand to get these damn barré chords right. I'm quite clumsy with my left hand, I mute strings etc. and I could never ever imagine to do fingerpicking with my left hand just like MK does with his right. I wonder what you can do to improve the strength in your left hand if you're right-handed, other than playing until your fingers bleed. I once met a guy at the Frankfurt Music Fair who had some kind of mini dumbbells for his fingers. They looked like rings and he said he uses them for gaining strength... "Bavarian beer is very okay.
