Posts: 22 (28/05/08 15:11:59) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	A bit of a longshot but I'm looking to identify a song (not MK's I'm afraid). I was at the Brighton gig last Saturday and before the concert one of the songs played was a really great jazz guitar track. I asked the Sounddesk chap after the show but he couldn't tell me. Anyone got any ideas? Also, I have to say that I almost decided not to go to the gig (!) as KTGC did nothing for me as an album. I've grown to like it now and then but for me, I don't think it's his best by a long way. Anyhow, I was totally blown away by the concert and a relief for me that the man just gets better and better.

I think this thread also fits to my question if you don´t mind... Last week or so I already asked Guy about a certain track that they play very shortly before the gig starts, I think three or two songs before "Cannibals". It has a very similiar Bob Dylan-like talking voice, (somehow the same arrogance in the speaking I might add..) and Guy answered "Shelter from the storm". So if I know one album from Dylan than is it that one, Guy just guessed I am sure, he didn´t really made the work of looking after the list - well, I can´t blame him for that. So if anybody here has the list in the right order or knows what song I am talking about, please help! As I said, a "talking blues" voice speaking in the first lines, no singing, very cool... It has some kind of "countdown" feeling to it, when you hear it, you know the show starts in really a few minutes... Sorry if I am a little bit blurry, Love Expressoo

Posts: 222 (06/06/08 05:06:11) Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	I'm not sure if I can answer the questions above but here are two songs that were played in the UK very shortly before the beginning of each show that are not listed above: * Cajun Moon, by JJ Cale, off the 1974 CD "Okie" * Drinkin' Dark Whiskey, Tellin' White Lies, off the 2007 self-titled debut by the Steeldrivers Both are fantastic songs. I think the pre-show selections this tour are all around great.

I found out now what song I mean, because Guy used it again on his "behind the scene" clip part two about the drivers! Can´t remember the name now, Little someone and the blue flames, and the title is "Feeling good" or so. So no Bob Dylan! Well, sometimes hear what you want to hear! Anyway it is a great and very cool song, it is used about the "credits" and the driving to the RAH in the clip. Have a look if you don´t haven´t already done so! I had already purchased "Code Red, Cloud Nine" a few days before I went to MK's concert in Vienna last month. I immediately recognized the first cut off the album ("Squisito") being played in the arena. It's a very good album, sophisticated and understated.
