So, here we go.
The gig started at about 20h15 I believe. I was standing about 20 feet away from the stage. It all looked promising at the start. Couldn't help but feel a bit that Mark was a bit tired and he wasn't really getting into it during the course of the show. Sultans of course was great and the crowd went wild during that one. All songs were brilliant but Mark's playing seemed a bit uninspired to me. Anyway, to me he looked tired, probably from the RAH shows.
At the end of the show, during the encores MK seemed a bit more cheerful though. Also the sound itself from where I was standing wasn't that great; probably too close to the stage. Well, it wasn't the best MK gig I've seen so far, but today I realized I already missed the feeling of being there. MK is always good, I conclude. Anyway, here's the setlist:
Cannibals
Why Aye Man
What It Is
Sailing To Philadelphia
True Love Will Never Fade
The Fish And The Bird
Hill Farmer's Blues (very nice version)
Romeo And Juliet
Sultans Of Swing (always great to hear)
Marbletown
Speedway At Nazareth (by now I was thinking: damnit no freaking Postcards...)
Telegraph Road (seemed a bit unstructured outro-soloing of MK to me)
Encores:
Brothers In Arms (beautiful version!)
Our Shangri-La
So Far Away ("Well, here I am againg............ a bit of a pause (MK thinking: "where the hell am I playing today"
) in Brussel town")
Going Home (wonderful to hear this song in this way!)
Well, that's it for now,
hope to see him again soon.
Cheers

My all time favorite live song still is Brothers in Arms. There were moments
when i just put my elbows on the fence, put my chin in my hands and closed my eyes. He always plays his solos with so much feeling. I get goosebumps again
just thinking about it.
