Your favourite DS single video |
Lead | |

Just tidied up my video collection and was looking again at the singles videos. I was wondering what people's favourite DS singles video was, I still love
the BIA one.

Yeah, the BIA is fabulous but I think the Calling Elvis video is very enjoyable as well! And the Walk of Life sports bloopers video is funny too :D

Ooohhhh there are many, many beautiful videos, but Dire Straits "Money For Nothing"
Basel 1992 was one of the first I saw of Mark
and I loved the way he was teasing the crowd standing there at the beginning with his arms across each other! It is terrific to see how he made all those
thousands of fans crazy! Here is the link:

BIA is my favorite. But I also like Heavy Fuel and Walk of Life. Another fun one is Poor Boy Blues that MK did with Chet Atkins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaBTHu9JSB0

I love the Tunnel Of Love video.
Especially the bit where my fave sexy actress Leslie Ash comes down the slide, dressed in that tight silver suit ![]()

Heavy Fuel isn't one of my favourites, so I just searched for it. Do you mean the version of the DVD "On The Night?"

Difficult one.
Calling Elvis & Mfn, and also Bia were revolutionary, and they don't get enough of a mention in the classic video clips. For me, it comes down to two things. "Produced" videos, of which all the above were brilliant, or live videos. Of the live ones, I love the Old Grey Whistle Test of SOS which appears from time to time. Of the official ones, probably Romeo & Juliet. Sad to hear the girl who appeared in it died earlier this year. |

official (video) clips - singles | ||

Fieneke,
The only official Dire Straits released video clips are (most of them are available on the official DVD Sultans of Swing - The very best of Dire Straits): - Sultans of Swing - Wild West End - Ladywriter - Romeo and Juliet - Tunnel of Love - Skateaway - Private Investigations - Twisting by the Pool - Love over Gold (live) - So Far Away - Walk of life - Money for Nothing - Brothers in Arms - Calling Elvis - Heavy Fuel - The Bug - Your Latest Trick (live) In fact 2 live tracks from a concert. The Basel 1992 concert is not an official released video and not called a video single. Anyway, it was an awesome concert. Best Sultans of Swing ever in my opninion. |
