Tallgren, I loved both of those albums, especially Shangri-La, which is my joint favourite MK solo album, along with RPD, but, hey it would be very boring if
we all thought exactly the same! I love Mark rocking just as much as anyone and I hope we'll get some rock on this new album.

Yes, it would be boring if we all thought the same. Funny that Tallgren mentions KTGC and SL as 2 of his least favourite, Val mentions SL and RPD as 2 of her favourite, while I would say SL is one of my favourite while RPD is one of my least favourite. Whatever he does, it will be great. I have a great feeling about this album, mainly because I have a great feeling about all his albums and so far I
haven't been disapointed but also because Richard Bennett and Matt Rollins are on it, which means, that, unlike KTGC, there will be more "live"
takes....

I do hope it takes a GH direction, but I personally think the evolution will continue.

I think Mark is always looking forward but he never forget his roots. So I supose the new album will bring all, rock, folk, blues, country and celtic. Maybe
not gospel like some Sailing To Philadelphia' s songs but I am crazy for september coming. I always wait his best.

Of course you'll survive! You have to see the new album! I change my mind all the time, but I keep coming back to SL as my favourite, with RPD second.
Then I go on a KTGC kick. Then I HAVE to hear "Imelda" again! That's the beauty of MK's music...it's all according to your mood.

There are moments on the new album which may make you crazy.
Have a look! Guy answered this to a question about MK using feedback sound and Les Paul guitars! Sounds not bad in my ears... Love Expresso |

Hmm, since I'm not that familiar with electic guitar settings, how does a Les Paul on feedback mode sound? "Crazy" implies a chain-saw sound or
something like that, LOL! Someone please enlighten me

I think that the remark "There are moments on the new album which may make you crazy" is slightly out of context, because the person posting on
Guy's forum said that feedback made her feel crazy. Hence, Guy's answer.

Hm okay, I see...
But since we're already speculating, there is this new tidbit on guitar sounds on Guy's forum: "Is there going to be a lot of guitar on the new Mk album (similar to STP)? And by "a lot of guitar", he means lead guitar (solo guitar)." And Guy's answer was a YES, in Capslock! Of course this doesn't have to be significant but it sounds great anyway
