SOS played in the Rovers in Coronation St. |

Hi all.
Just watching tonights edition of Coronation St. On the juke box in the background of the Rovers Return, i couldn't believe it. They were playing SOS. 
I started jumping around the room like a madman.

Well its unbelievable how quick we recognize tunes from MK in other circumstances.
A while ago here was a quiz on the radio and they used a tune from Cal as background. Yesterday I heard a beautiful cover from "water of love" , I think it was a belgium group. Amazing how quick we know its a MK tune ! About Coronation Street : many years ago it was broadcasted in Belgium ,are they still making new episodes from that ? Or is it rebroadcast? Henk |

It is still as popular as ever, screening 3 new episodes a week.

Hey you are right! Last week I heard "Walk Of Life" in the supermarket and that was great! You know what? I was singing the song very soft and suddenly I heard somebody else somewhere in the shop singing parts of this song too, that was sooo funny! 
Nigel in the past we were able to watch Coronation Street too! I remember it was in black and white, so it must be a long time ago!! I am not sure if they broadcasted new series the last years.

I heard SoS in Morrisons yesterday.
It's alleged (although not confirmed) that when MK heard such a track in an elevator that he decided to call it quits with DS. It must be frightening. |

Yesterday they played So Far Away on the jukebox in the Rovers Return in Coronation Street.
I think that's 3 DS songs they've played on it now. |

MFN also got in on the act on Britans Got Talent last night - he's no MK though!!!!!
Someone in ITV obviously likes DS/MK - maybe he/she is one of us?????

I noticed Your Latest Trick as well. To add to your earlier count, they also played Twisting by the Pool and Lady Writer in April.
So far the Rovers jukebox (since March) has had: Sultans (in 2 different episodes) Love Over Gold Twisting by the Pool Lady Writer So Far Away Your Latest Trick I only watch for the music, really. |

They also played MfN at the British Speedway Grand Prix at the Cardiff Millenium Stadium on Saturday 27th.
It wasn't after the local hope of Scott Nicholls was fined his whole night's money for punching a Rusian rider though!! |
