Yes, 14 tracks would be nice, but I think 9 or 11 tracks would be even better because that would include some loooooong tracks from 8 to 10 minutes..

Back in 2007, Guy told us the name of the then new "Kill to get Crimson" and the track list on june 16th 2007. And because with this album they have pretty much the same schedule (as usual), I think this time we will have to wait until June 2009 to hear more details about the album title and the track list. Thats a long time to go . . .
But maybe he plays one or more songs before that date like he did on the Hay Festival of Literature on 3/6/7 back then (Secondary Waltz) or more recently at The Garrick Club.

I have told it many times before, .....it's sooo hard to wait for the new album, especial now I know that also the children will sing a song at the
album.
Watching the pics at Guy's page with all the string instruments makes me feel excited too. This album might be different then others again, but I am sure I am going to love it as I do with the other albums.

http://www.play.com/Music/CD/4-/9925901/Get-Lucky/Product.html They're also listing a new Sting album called 'If On a Winter's Night' due for release in October (this one's not a conventional Sting record but a new classical album). How they've got this info so early is beyond me!

Awesome news indeed! Play.com says the release date is Sept 14 but I don't think it is confirmed yet... Does anyone know? By the way, isn't it strange we find out the new album title by randomly browsing some CD online stores? I just hope this isn't a foreboding of more chaotic things to happen. I'm already scared of the presale... That voucher thing was the worst thing ever!!

In these times it is not so strange anymore that news is somewhere on the internet first , before it is on the official site from the artist.
I know a story where an artist wanted to announce his first concert from a tour on his site , but before it was on his site ,people where able to buy tickets for that concert on the internet. So I think the message for artists and their management must be : Its better to announce it first on the website from the artist and you only can do this when you are on time, so if everybody knows everything behind the scene , try to announce things as quick as possible. In this case I think its time now to announce the tracks from the cd , the lenght from the tracks , artwork etc... before someone else spoiles it , in this case I was a bit surprised that it wasn't spoiled earlier. Referring to the latest news section from this site the GL tour goes in a different way ;
this time first the USA and later Europe. Looks like most things are done and more news will be announced shortly. Stay tuned ! ! |

Thanks Henk for the information! I notice that the tour will run from end of April to end of July 2010, which is one month shorter than KTGC, which began
end of March and finished end of July!

Guy said in his forum there definitely won't be any "chart-topper" kind of song on "Get Lucky". It's not surprising but I think
it provides some more room for speculation re the music style

We must all be VERY careful as you may remember how much trouble we all got in several months ago with the alternative song title' thread - that kind of
grew into something VERY naughty!!
So comments like the Album cover will have a scantily clad laydee winking suggestively - is probably highly inappropriate!!!!

Whaauwww the title of the CD is "Get Lucky"? Hey I already feel lucky that I can listen every day to the music of Mark!

My first idea was about the song "Get Lucky" that MK probably will use a double meaning in the lyrics - it would be typical for him not to use only
one simple message. I see all the people with their mobile phone
cameras in front of his face, in that moment maybe he thought, "Oh you &%$ยง?rds, get lucky with it... Or in another meaning, the same meaning as "Shangri-La" had, find his personal paradise, so "get lucky". It is very nice to have a new album from MK to be announced with a lot of great lyrics for sure - he never let me down on this. His lyrics are in my opinion his greatest gift. Love Expresso |
