Maybe it's a double album and a single album release. Like Chris Rea did with Stony Road. Cause Mark would like to have a double album released too in his life, like Bob Dylan. But that is wishful thinking. Is there a mountain near by and is it bathed in sunlight all day ? Is it in Tuscany or where ? I wanna go there ! I like the title " Far From the Clyde ", which is a river that ran through the part of Glasgow where I ws born and raised, I sometimes feel so far away from home and family. Well basically I am an orphan, with only one blood realtive. I can hardly wait to hear it, I hope it is plaintive or smokin' rock n' roll. I too like Hard Shoulder, it could have so many meanings , I like ambiguity in lyrics.

Another one about rivers, possibly another one about New Orleans, another one possibly about gambling. It will be interesting to compare the lyrics and songs with the back catalogue, and see if they follow a trend.

By another part, "Monteleone" is an italian word and a member from Italy in the Interact Forum of markknopfler.com have said that there are a lot of places in Italy with this name and also is a surname. So I expect the album will in general be 'quiet' songs. Hopefully it will contain 1 'rocker' with a typical Knopfler riff. Cause Shangri-La en Kill To Get Crimson didn't contain a really memorable guitar riff. Anyway, you can be sure it will contain atleast one really great song! And not one really really reeeeally 'bad' song. ;-) Anyway, I am curious if anyone already saw the running time of the album somewhere? Cause if the running time is long we might be in for some nice epic kinda song(s). Though "In The Sky" has a long running time, but it was not really a song building up to a dynamic climax like with songs as Telegraph Road and Speedway To Nazareth. So long songs don't garantee a tune with epic proportions. I hope it will contain a dark song again, without a snare drum, like with Iron Hand and Madame Geneva's. The most appealing track titles to me are: "Piper At The End". Maybe cause it reminds me of Pink Floyd's Piper At The Gates Of Dawn (an album that contained 11 songs too) and "Cleaning My Gun", which the 2nd seems somehow a rocker to me.
