Glass & Never Told A Soul - Released 7th September
Category: Music
During the heyday of the Straits, I somehow found the time to release two solo albums, Glass and Never Told A Soul. Consisting of all songs written by me,
they also included performances from some of my friends and colleagues at the time. Mark played guitar on much of both records, as likewise did Jerry Donahue.
Both Guy Fletcher and Alan Clark lent their hands to the keyboard parts and Chris White guested on sax.
They were both well received and sold across the world for a number of years but recently have been unavailable, except for changing hands for ridiculously
large sums online. Now all that is set to change. I negotiated the rights back from Phonogram and am reissuing them on CD, with the original artwork, on the
Creek Records label.
The full track listing for both CDs is as follows:
Glass: High Stakes, I Want To See The Moon, Papermen, All I Want Is You , The World Is Made Of Glass, Red Turns To Blue, Let's Dance, She Wants Everything, Star For Now.....
Never Told A Soul: Boy With Chinese Eyes, The Night Café,Never Told A Soul, Jimmy On The Central Line, Northern Land, Another Alibi, Let The River Flow.
I really wanted to see them available again - I am very proud of them and they represent an important time in my life and my musical career. They are both released on September 7th, and will be available from my website, and from all good places that still sell CDs..... as a taster I have put a few tracks up on myspace. Like before, some songs will be available for free for a while to download from my site. Hope you enjoy. John. ....
