I have been to precisely 0 shows, but (assuming my tickets ever arrive!) after the KTGC tour I will have been to a grand total of 1! I did go to see MK's
appearance the Hay Festival in Wales last year though.

Two, plus the Hay-on-Wye festival, which also happened to be my first bootleg recording.

I have been to eleven, including Hay-on-Wye and when I have been to KTGC concerts it will be fifteen (if the tickets arrive).

1992.05.27, Werchter (when it comes to you....) i remember it as if it were yesterday, was in trance for weeks...
1996.06.01 recorded it too, was it bit too excited on it though,...long highway,...need i say more?? 1999.07.19 and 20...front row table....too much to discuss here,...magical... 2001.06.23 (or 24) still remember how impressed i was by the awesome Mike Henderson and the cool MFN intro...great wag the dog too.. 2002.07.28, Beaulie,...almost did not make it inside, as they checked the tickets and compared them to the credit card numbers that were used, and i got mine through Marijn Schoo, and he had to phone back home to ask someone to check this number...and noone picked up,...and then when they did they could not find the friggin card,..man i was so close, could already hear the soundchecking....and then finally made it inside...awesome show....and then a ride home from that hole in the middle of nowhere by a very nice elder couple (god knows what i would have done else, there was like 5 cabs for all those thousands of people, and hardly (really none) public transport..... 2005.04.25 Dortmund, most uninspired show to date, magical to any other artists standards, but not to those of marky! 2006.05.26, Brussels,...emmylou....MK...first show...all that matters,...donkeytown... and now coming up... Amsterda 1&2 Rotterdam Frankfurt, Cologne, Oberhausen, Luxemburg and Brussels........ |

BBB - a time machine would be great, I wasn't lucky enough to catch Dire Straits in concert, we were still behind the iron curtain at those times and all
the big names started to come over after 1992... But - here is my list:
MK, Prague 1996 TNH Ronnie Scott's last night in 1998 TNH Ronnie Scott's 22.07.1999 TNH Ronnie Scott's 23.07.1999 MK, Warsaw 2001 MK, Zurich 2001 MK & Friends, London 24.07.2002 MK & Friends, London 25.07.2002 MK, Katowice 2005 MK, Warsaw 2005 more to come......
Pottel - great story about the Bealieu gig, you should tell us more about this first row table at Ronnie Scott's! I only got "standing" tickets for those, still they were one of the best gigs I ever been to. |

Well in fact I will only go to my 5th concert.....
1 Rotterdam de Kuip 01.06.1992 * rainy day, but amazing experience. I think this concert was partly used for "On the Night" * highlights (16 songs + "ole ole") : - Private Investigations, - Sultans of Swing - Ole Ole (played with the audience !! just great) - Your Latest Trick - Brothers in Arms (crowd singing very loud every line of this song, a lot of fire lighters) - fireworks after the concert 2 Amsterdam Heineken Music Hall 19.06.2001 * amazing sound as always in this hall, rather close to the stage. * highlights (17 songs): - Calling Elvis (great relaxed version) - What it Is - Pyroman - Money for Nothing (with great jamming intro) - So Far Away (waving crowd I remember) 3 Amsterdam Heineken Music Hall 05.05.2003 * highlights: - none. Cancelled what a pity 4 Amsterdam Heineken Music Hall 16.04.2005 * again an amazing sound as always in this hall. * Mark is taking a drink that has been brought to him. Someone in the audience shouts "Heineken beer!" Mark replies: "Who said Heineken? I love Holland, but uh.. it smells like... That's Brittish tea." * highlights (17 songs): - What It is - amazing Speedway at Nazareth - Telegraph Road - Our Shangri-La 5 Ahoy Rotterdam 005.06.2006 * a little far from stage, but nice anayway. * highlights (19 songs): - This is Us - Speedway at Nazareth again very nice - Why Worry - Our Shangri-La 6 Ahoy Rotterdam 31.03.2008 * I will not take a look at the setlists of other concerts before going to this concert. Note: "Romeo and Juliet" was the only song which was played during all concerts I have been to. "...How about it ?" |

No one song played at all my gigs. R&J would probably be top, 6/11 I think, but not played at NHB gigs.
