My wife and I attended the Berkeley show, and -- WOW!! -- was that crowd pumped up and loving it!! The ovations were thundering, the shouts and whistles deafening, and the clapping seemingly endless. When I read Guy's tour diary where he wrote "absolutely outstanding audience made for one of the best shows of the entire tour" it only confirmed my impressions.

For me the performance was absolutely top-notch. The sound system sparkled, the lights and effects were fantastic, and our Norcal weather was perfect.

My highlight was the stunningly powerful version of Speedway at Nazareth.. they had the wick out all the way on that one! Sultans was rocking too, and the Berkeley crowd seemed more in tune with Straits' material than MK's solo work, unlike myself who has had Shangri La, STP, and Ragpicker's in heavy rotation in my car's changer for forever now (my 5-year olds totally dig What It Is, Silvertown Blues, and half the tracks on Ragpicker's).

I would have *so* loved to hear 5:15 AM and Silvertown and Prairie Wedding and... but you can't have it all, I guess.

Eagerly awaiting MORE MK. Thanks for coming, guys!
