I'm just coming home from the MK concert in Paris.
It was really really great, perhaps the best MK tour, because there was a lot of surprise in the set list (I didn't watch set lists of the first shows), and Mark is really in fine shape and he sings like never.
The set list was :
Cannibals
Why aye man
What it is
Sailing to philadelphia
True love will never fade
The fish and the bird
Hill farmer's blues
Romeo & Juliet
Sultans of swing
Marbletown
Daddy's gone to knoxville
Postcards from paraguay
Speedway at nazareth
Telegraph road
Brothers in arms
Our shangri-la
So far away
Going home
I saw pictures of the previous shows and saw that Mark was playing the Red Schecter Telecaster, and I attended that the first song would be Walk Of Life. In fact, no it is her "twin song", Cannibals, that starts the show.
Only two songs from KTGC, it's a good point for me.
The sound was really good, perhaps the best sound I heard in this place, and it wasn't too loud, no need for ear protect.
For me, highlights were Why Aye Man, Hill farmer's blues, Sultans Of Swing (with only Mark, Richard, Glenn and Danny), Marbletown, Brothers In Arms and Going Home.
The light show is amazing, particularly on Speedway.
I really hope that there will be a DVD of this tour.
