I was very close to Deutsche at the time (their Securitisation team - sub prime american debt ) and tried to blag an invite via Canary Wharf. It was predominantly staff only though, in their Property team. It's an annual event.

In the Property Finance world, there are a few good shows. Most of them take place at the Mipim festival in Cannes. This is a bigger festival than the Cannes French Film Festival. In recent years Jool Holland, Quo, Bananarama (yeah I know) have played private shows at the festival, so have many others. I suffer with a hangover every March over there.

I understand that Deutsche have a party each year, which is the one that MK's band played at in 2005. This year they have booked Duran Duran, but have cancelled them due to the Credit Crunch. Apparantly it is a matter that has been reported in the press, and Duran Duran are considering their legal postion. It is reported that it would have been a lucrative gig for them, for a 45 min show.
