I have insanely decided that I would love to have some more of those little tour pins. I have only Golden Heart and KTGC. Does any one have an extra from
other tours to sell or to trade for recordings?

As far as I know there were no pins in 2001, (2003), 2005 and 2006.
There was, however e very nice triangular enamel pin in 85/86. It appears every now and then in ebay. Sorry if my reply wasn't what you were hoping for... |

We bought a pin from the 2001 tour, it is a very plain small silver guitar with the initials MK on it. That's all it is, no other details on it. We got it
from the 'official' MK booth in Philadelphia--my wife liked it even more since the initials matched her maiden name. Merchandising for MK stuff never
seems to be much of a priority...anyway, good luck finding one of these since I doubt that most people even know what the heck it is.

Dusty has told me that they are more properly called 'badges' Phil, It's helpful to know that badges/pins weren't produced for that tour, so
you gave me a very good answer. :) And Wayne, thanks too. Should your wife ever decide to part with that pin--which I doubt--you know what to do!

IrisRose,
Check out the store section of markknopfler.com. I think that silver guitar pin you covet is part of the Shangri-la tour pack (it's under the category "other"). Regards |
