I really enjoyed this clip, but Mark seemed quite nervous, I thought. Joe was very funny!

MK just seemd so heartfelt and thoughtful and so did Mr. Brown. I do not remember seeing him on TV as a kid, does anyone else? It sounds like he was a live
player, and that fotrune and fame were not as important to him as the music and his pals. I do remember that Cliff Richard and The Shadows were bigger than the
Beatles and that the Stones were more exciting and Billy J. Kramer was good to look at. Wonder if MK wil take him on tour or perhaps he would give him a
showing up LOL

great memories of joe | ||

Very nostalgic for me. i first saw joe in 1960 as he used to play in my local dance hall on a very regular basis. He was always good fun on stage and his
finale was very often "havaneguile"
not sure about the spelling. other acts were johnny kid and the pirates, mike berry and the outlaws, screaming lord sutch, wee willy harris. These were all rockers who admired eddie cochran, gene vincent, jerry lee lewis and of course Elvis. The most covered songs as i remember were of chuck berry songs- great times folks, a long time ago. lol |

Johnny Kidd and the Pirates - Shaking all over. who could forget that??
Don't forget that Mike Berry appeared in the UK TV Series Are You Being Served? in the late 70's and early 80's, and regularly interfered with Wendy Richard and Mrs Slocombe's cat ;) His last UK hit was "Sunshine of your Smile" which was written by Chas Hodges of Chas & Dave fame. Chas is widely regarded as a top session musician, and a mate of Paul McCartney. |
