Bit strange .. I was playing (trying to anyway) a few Chet Tunes yesterday (Maybelle) after a long 3 month break - I had really got into Chet last March after working through one of his tutor DVDs and also one by Buster B Jones who btw had just died the month before in Feb and I didn't even know. Just thought yesterday I should really get back into those tunes and then I thought if Chet was in the room he'd be giving out and pushing me to keep working at them and as carmelo mentioned, yesterday was his anniversary ..mmm weird but nice weird.
Working though that DVD like a shaolin priest giving guidence and inspiration not just for music but life in general. He was a great man ..even without a guitar in his hands.
