Once or twice (maybe even thrice) during my hours of web-surfing for MK news, music and events, I came across a website from a guy who was making a compilation of MK's performances of each song thru the years. I believe it was of the BEST versions, but I'm not sure. I can't recall all the details but it sounded like a great idea and he was offering them on a single disc as mp3's. I emailed him a couple of times but it never got thru, guess the page was outdated.
Since the ShangriLa1 dvd collection is slowly being spread thru the MK galaxy, has anyone done this for their own benefit? If not, wouldn't it be a nice idea to compile the best bootleg versions of each song he has performed? It could make a great 3 to 5 disc collection. Obviously, it would be a lot of work---but---we have a lot of collective ears here.
Everyone mentions Viason '96 and it's a superb show, but to me it sounds a little muddy and I think Copenhagen '96 sounds better. Or, do I have a version of Viason that's not as clear as it should be? (Got it from here via FileFactory). Whatever version of Viason '96 I have, I have to agree with all the comments I've read saying that's the BEST version of 'Water of Love' MK has ever performed, and it's archived in soundboard quality (even if I think it's a little muddy). What do you think, good idea? Bad idea? Been done before? If it's old news, please direct me to the thread with this discussion in it, and if you've already compiled a collection of the very best live tracks, would you be willing to share it, or at least your song selection details as a starting point?
